Install SimpliVPN on Amazon Fire TV

Secure your Fire TV streaming with SimpliVPN. Follow our step-by-step guide to sideload the app.

Since SimpliVPN isn't available on the Amazon Appstore, you'll need to sideload the APK file directly.

Before You Begin

What You'll Need:

  • Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick (2nd generation or later)
  • Stable internet connection
  • Fire TV remote

Installation Guide

Step 1: Enable Developer Options

  1. 1From your Fire TV home screen, navigate to Settings
  2. 2Select My Fire TV or Device & Software
  3. 3Choose About
  4. 4Highlight the first option (usually your device name) and press the Select button on your remote 7 times
  5. 5You'll see a message saying "You are now a developer"

Step 2: Enable Unknown Sources

  1. 1Go back to Settings → My Fire TV
  2. 2Select Developer Options
  3. 3Turn ON both ADB Debugging and Apps from Unknown Sources

Step 3: Install Downloader App

  1. 1From the Fire TV home screen, select the Search icon (magnifying glass)
  2. 2Type "Downloader" and select it from the search results
  3. 3Click Download to install the Downloader app
  4. 4Once installed, open the Downloader app

Step 4: Download SimpliVPN APK

  1. 1In the Downloader app, click in the URL field
  2. 2
    Enter this URL:
    https://www.simplivpn.net/downloads/app-tv-debug.apk
  3. 3Click Go to start downloading the SimpliVPN APK file
  4. 4Wait for the download to complete

Step 5: Install SimpliVPN

  1. 1Once the download completes, the installation prompt will appear automatically
  2. 2Select Install to install SimpliVPN
  3. 3After installation, you can choose Delete to remove the APK file and save storage space
  4. 4Select Done to complete the installation

Step 6: Launch SimpliVPN

  1. 1Press the Home button on your Fire TV remote
  2. 2Navigate to Your Apps & Channels
  3. 3Find and select SimpliVPN to launch the app
  4. 4Sign in with your SimpliVPN account credentials

Troubleshooting

Can't find SimpliVPN after installation?

Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications to find and launch SimpliVPN.

Installation blocked or failed?

Make sure Apps from Unknown Sources is enabled in your Developer Options. You may need to restart your Fire TV device.

App not working properly?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling SimpliVPN. Make sure you have a stable internet connection during setup.
